Konstantinos Tromaras was born on November 20, 1989, in Paiania, where he continues to reside to this day. He is the son of Fani Hounta and the renowned athlete Giorgos Tromaras. Inspired by and admiring his father, Kostas became involved in sports and strength disciplines from a young age. At the age of 10, he began training alongside his father in wrestling and resistance training. In 2002, with the aim of competing in wrestling federation tournaments, he joined the wrestling division of A.S. Papasideris in Koropi, coached by Dimitris Roumilidis. He remained an active athlete through high school, earning distinctions in numerous competitions. In 2004, he was introduced to combat sports and, while continuing his wrestling training, began practicing boxing and kickboxing under Giannis Papadeas at A.S. Milon.
In 2008, motivated by his athletic interests and passion for coaching, Kostas enrolled in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at the Democritus University of Thrace in Komotini. During his time there, he trained under esteemed coaches Ioannis Barbas and Theodoros Karipidis at the wrestling division of A.S. Dimokritos. While studying in Komotini, he began working as a fitness trainer and boxing coach in small groups in Komotini and Alexandroupolis. In May 2008, during the Internal University Championship, which included athletic clubs from Thrace, he excelled in wrestling, weightlifting, and shot put. In January 2009, he transferred to the corresponding department at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), graduating in the summer of 2014 with a specialization in "Wellness and Health." Returning to Paiania, he had the opportunity to manage the gym founded by his father.
In September 2014, after completing his military service, he founded the A.S. Dynamic Sports of Paiania, aiming to promote and develop strength sports such as weightlifting and powerlifting. In May 2016, he competed for the first time in the GPA Panhellenic Powerlifting Championship, earning 2nd place and qualifying for the GPA World Championship. After extensive preparation, on December 7, 2016, he traveled to Moscow with the Greek delegation to compete in the GPA World Championship. The team comprised 14 athletes and 5 assistants. On the first day of the competition, Kostas won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals, while the Greek team secured 2nd place overall. Following this success, the Municipality of Paiania honored him in March 2017. In May 2017, he competed in the GPA European Powerlifting Championship, hosted for the first time in Greece, in Elefsina, where he earned 1st place. Subsequent victories followed, including first-place finishes in November 2017 in Tavros and May 2018 in Elliniko, where he competed against top Greek athletes. In 2019, he participated in the IPL World Championship held in Limerick, Ireland, on October 24, becoming a two-time World Champion and being awarded as the best athlete of the event.
On February 11, 2018, as a tribute to his father, Kostas organized the first-ever TROMARAS Strength Challenge, held at the Indoor Gymnasium of the Municipality of Paiania with significant support from the local government. The event featured numerous athletes and was well-received.
Today, Kostas continues as a coach and owner of the TROMARAS Strength Club. His athletes have achieved success at both national and international levels, earning championships and setting world records. His work has been featured in the press and on television. His mission is to promote strength sports, encourage more young people to engage in athletics, and improve quality of life through exercise. Additionally, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Physical Education and Sports Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
